Workshop• Maureen Fayle• Saturday 23 February. 10am - 4pm Ticket£20

Demo• Mike HughesMonday 8 March. 2.30 -4.30pm

Mike is an award winning, superb wildlife artist and illustrator. He will explain how he achieves his near life-like paintings of animals and birds. A must see demo!

 Workshop• Ray BalkwillSaturday 30 March. 10am - 4pm Ticket£25

Ray is a well-respected artist who lives in Exmouth. Living there gives him unlimited access to a wealth of subject matter for his paintings. His workshop will start with a demo and then will guide members through the day working in watercolour that often finishes with some bold, perfectly placed pastel strokes.

Demo• Roz PiersonMonday 8 April. 2.30 - 4.30pm

Roz is the Co-Founder of the Hilliard Society of Miniaturists.  She will be bringing some of her own as well as other artists original examples of miniatures. A slide show of the detailed work will indicate the fineness of the brush stroke required for such work.

Workshop• Michael MossSaturday 27 April. 10am - 4pm Ticket£20

Michael has not only been invited back because of his fascinating way of painting in watercolour, but also because he is so generous with the way he shares many of his techniques. Previous workshops have described him as ‘Brilliant’. Members will gain much from his workshop.

demo• Michael LawesMonday 14 October. 2.30 - 4.30pm

Workshop• Michael LawesSaturday 26 October. 10am - 4pm Ticket£25

Michael has a unique style of combining pastel with gouache on a rough surface of watercolour paper that gives his work a vibrancy and glow in his contemporary painting. Light and reflections were principle themes in his city paintings but now the light and atmosphere of North Devon give his dramatic work a new direction. The reflections of artificial light at night feature strongly.

Demo• David WebbMonday 11 November. 2.30 - 4.30pm

Workshop• David WebbSaturday 30 November. 10am - 4pm Ticket£20

David is a local artist who provides demos and workshops, in his loose style, nationally and abroad. He will demonstrate how to paint landscapes and seascapes in a more spontaneous style. Then during the workshop you will be shown how to interpret a scene and exercises on creating different moods and simplifying what you see along with tips on mixing bright, clean colours, wet-in-wet and colour glazes.

All demos & workshops will be held at the Totnes Boating Clubhouse, Steamer Quay, Totnes
